Sorry, we don't have any open vacancies to join the ENA whānau right now.
What it's like working at ENA
We are a small but mighty team of six! Our size and structure — paired with an ambitious attitude — is our special sauce!
Our size means we can all come together often, voice learnings with each other, and have team kōrero about the important topics we're working on. At the same time, we trust each other to research, analyse, and recommend ways forward. This allows us to crack on with work, limit structural sign-offs to a minimum, and really utililise all our skills. We think we have a good balance, but we constantly work on this to get it right.
We’re a friendly and fun team. We take our work seriously, but we reckon almost any situation can be improved with a laugh. We provide a safe workplace with flexible working arrangements because a great work-life balance is incredibly important to us.
What we do
We represent our members — the 29 lines companies in Aotearoa. We use our voice to make sure that all New Zealanders have reliable, sustainable and affordable electricity 24/7.
Some of the ways we do this are by:
- We analyse, engage and put our thoughts and recommendations forward to the government and regulators. We do this so that the electricity distribution sector has the right regulation and policies in place to deliver reliable, sustainable and affordable electricity to all New Zealanders.
- We undertaking research to better understand the fast-changing landscape of the electricity sector.
- We bring all the lines companies together to collaborate, gain insights from each other, and align processes where it makes sense to. We do this through forums, working groups and events.
- We are the voice of the lines companies. So we spend a lot of time listening and engaging with the wider energy sector. We are a firm believer that doing things together, means we will be better as a sector.
