Our members - New Zealand’s electricity distribution companies - are important infrastructure providers. They distribute electricity to more than 2.2 million homes, businesses and farms. The combined value of the country’s electricity network businesses is more than $14 billion.
With over 9,200 employees in total, the electricity sector is a significant employer, especially in regional areas. Distribution companies are strong supporters of their local communities through sponsorships and grants. All electricity distributors are members of the ENA.
