Regulatory Manager

If you know what RAB, WACC, IRIS, Input Methodologies and DPP are in the context of electricity — and can explain these in simple language — then we’d love to hear from you.

Electricity Networks Aotearoa (ENA) represents the 27 electricity distribution businesses (EDBs) that provide local and regional electricity networks. EDBs employ 10,000 people and deliver energy to more than two million homes and businesses. They are estimated to spend $22 billion over the next six years to ensure that Aotearoa has reliable, resilient, and secure electricity  — and to enable decarbonisation.

At ENA, we’re looking for a star Regulatory Manager. You’ll support EDBs with robust analysis and create valuable relationships in this leadership role. You’ll work with a range of valued and influential stakeholders across the wider sector.

Purpose of the position

The Regulatory Manager works closely with the Chief Executive, ENA’s Regulatory Working group and our members (that's all the EDBs).

The role is accountable for ENA’s regulatory submissions, advice and guidance to members and managing our relationships with regulatory stakeholders.

You’ll provide thought leadership, and analysis and advocate for the right regulations and standards that affect electricity distribution businesses and consumers.

Working at ENA

You will be part of a supportive team that encourages collaboration, innovation, and growth. Our close-knit team of six really packs a punch. Without layers of hierarchy, we can work together and create impact at pace.

We have a sunny central Wellington office, and most of us choose to work from home once or twice a week to help create a good work-life balance.

We’re passionate about supporting our electricity sector to provide reliable power for New Zealanders and decarbonise our country too.

Our amazing Regulatory Manager is taking up an incredible opportunity on the other side of the globe. They will leave a big hole on our ENA waka and we need it filled. Come join us!
